Default Help needed

I need some advice. I really want to become fit but I just can't get the motivation unless I have personal training. So many times I've gone to the Gym to "shape up" and then lost interest, not because I've lost the motivation but because I don't know if I'm doing the right amount of exercise, for all I know I could be eating more than I'm burning or just not doing enough exercise. You see, I really want to just be told an exact diet, an exact workout, as then I know for a fact that I would be on the right direction to achieving my goals. The thing is, the only way to have that is Personal training and I can't afford that, so can anyone give me any advice? Is there any other way to have this kind of service at any clubs? Maybe that "Get results" thing at Fitness First?

I would really appreciate your help.
