Default College Grad in Need of Advice

This is my first post on this website and I am already excited for the feedback. I appreciate all of it.
I am 6'5 200 pounds, therefore overall skinny but starting to gain some weight in my stomach. I am optimistically attributing this gain of weight to my great last four years at BC.
I am just starting a workout. I plan on going to the gym weekdays, spending about 1-1.5 hrs per trip. My goals are to tighten my body and add muscle. Here is what I was thinking for a basic strategy.

3 times a week upper body
- bench press, curls, shoulder and tricep exercises, situps

2 times a week running 3 miles
-this way I work my legs and get some cardio. I lose a little weight and keep in shape
