Default question about wrist

so just got my cast off today for my broken wrist after four weeks of having one on and my doctor said i can go back to lifting after April 15th.
Until then he said do nerf ball squeezes 50 times a day for a week.
The next two weeks do tennis ball squeezes 50 times a day, and take a hammer and rotate my wrist 50 times a day to help regain range of motion.
Then come April 15th I can go back to weightlifting and all other activities.

So for anyone who knows, is there going to be some noticable pain with 3 weeks, or should just stick to some light lifting just for safety sake?

And maybe some wrist exercises after the 3 weeks i should do to help strengthen the wrist?
