Default Supplement help...

Hey,

Just getting back into the gym from a very long dissapearance! Was hoping to get some recommendations on new supplements or supplements that you have found great success with. I have never used supplements before and I am looking for something to help me get back in shape faster - get cut and lose some weight. Legal of course!

Anyone have some recommendations?
Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Chris

Mate, first of all "Welcome to MH" You will find very useful information here and hope so you will enjoy here. So keep on postings and do not hesitate to share your probs with us.
Lets get back to your question, mate my very plain opinion is "do not take a move towards the supplements". As you said you haven't took any supplement till the date then why are trying to do so..always remember Quick results are not longer and Life long results are not quick. If you wish to loose your weight and want to be in shape read some stories here in the forum. we have some members who has lost their weight with awesome results. Simply higher a personal trainer or it's not affordable then do workout daily for 30 mins and have some restrictions on the food you take in daily. Eat only health food, do lots of exercise and workout, drink lots of water and also go for running in the morning. Keep this schedule for 1 month and then see, I am sure you will be able to see some good results. But do not think of taking a supplements. Hopes this will help you. cheers

super1day, if you haven't took any supplement then why you want to do so ?
Be aware with supplements, man. In my experience I have seen only bad results of supplements as they make you addicted to use those supplements. they are like a drugs, so be aware and better should not go to this way. Keep exercising and eat healthy, your life will be healthy. cheers

Thanks for the input. I am not completely out of shape or overweight, just trying to get back to where I feel comfortable. The only supplement I have taken is just protein shakes, thats it. I guess I was just looking for some help or a boost to get my muscle back up and get my fat down. But I do understand everything takes time....brick by brick!!

Thanks,
Chris

The best thing is to try to eat solid meals every 3 hours if you are weight training. If you cannot, then a protein shake will work wonders in place of a meal. The only other supplement that is worth the money is creatine monohydrate. Yes, there are some negative claims, but I've done actual research studies with creatine in actual athletes and have studied creatine for over 15 years. It's safe in doses under 10 grams per day, which you really only need 5 grams per day to see positive results. The negative feedback is from abuse. Creatine and protein powders are all you need along with sound nutrition and the right training. They will give you an edge.
