Default Workplace stress management

Lay offs, demanding jobs, office politics, put lot of stress on the employees. If not managed, it can not only affect your performance but also deteriorate your health. Here are some measures to manage stress in workplace:

* Sit erect with a straight spine. If your posture is not correct, it puts lot of stress on your spine and breathing becomes shallow. This effects your energy levels and alertness.

* Share a joke or participate in joyful discussions. Humor is contagious and it lifts everyones spirits.

* Make friends and confide your problems with colleagues. The old saying that sharing helps reduce problems and increase happiness hold true here too.

* Practice deep breathing every now and then.

* Take mini-breaks by practicing meditation or visualization for 5-10 minutes once every 2-3 hours. You'll be amazed at the freshness and energy it brings in you.
