I have had many nights where I stare at the clock and I cannot get tired for the life of me. Invest in great sleeping equipment, nice thick pillows, down comforters, comfortable sheets. I have a tv in my bedroom and find it very helpful to fall asleep to tv; I will put the sleep timer on for thirty minutes and by the time it shuts off, I'm out like a light. Another option is to listen to trancey music or maybe classical or whatever you're into that generally lowers your heart rate. I actually did that the other night, and I'm sure it probably stimulates your brain subconsciencely.
