Default Insomnia ?

I heard at any age, insomnia is the most common sleep complaint. Insomnia means:

* Taking a long time to fall asleep (more than 30 to 45 minutes)
* Waking up many times each night

do you have any other points regarding the Insomnia? please keep up sharing with us

Continuing with what you have mentioned as the essential conditions of insomnia I would add the following morning and thereafter despite of disturbed sleep overnight there is no fatigue in the person and he tends to carry on as if he was fresh. Have seen this happen to someone I know and several sleepless nights have no effect on him. Can this be also described as insomnia!

I don't know about setting a precise definition of insomnia, but having problems falling asleep is often due to stress. Early waking is a common symptom of depression.

Personally, I find that I'm very sensitive to environmental conditions; such as temperature and humidity.

There are many possible reasons for insomnia. It can be that you have trouble falling asleep or staying asleep. Having an overactive brain during the night can be a cause of this and one of the most effective yet simplest methods of overcoming it is as follows:

Get a pen and paper and write down anything that is playing on your mind in one column and what you intend to do about it in another. Also list the important or most vivid events of the day and also list the things you need to do the next day. Sounds very simplistic but you'd be suprised how effective this is.
