Default insomnia and night sweats

My husband is an cocaine addict. He has been clean for 7 months. He does still tend to over abuse medications like tramadol and now even his anti depressants. He figured out that they make him sleepy so he would take more to help him sleep. He had very bad night sweats when he was on Effexor. He did not abuse these. However, he also was using way too many tramadol too quickly. (his pain tolerance is very high) The doctor switched him to Zyprexia and he overused these. He came off them and didn't renew his RX for several weeks. And one point he said he actually felt better. Then the depression really hit. Besides being on a strict court ordered program for his recovery, unemployed, and recent knee surgery, he had gotten severly depressed. He was placed back on Zyprexia. He started taking more than what was prescribed and I confronted him. He got flu like symptoms and this is a common side effect. He says he is stopping that and taking only 1 a night. They are 10mg. I am concerned because the night sweats, anxiety, and severe insomnia is back. I know his abuse of this med. and getting over his actual addiction is part of it. However, he frequently has stomach upset, cramps, diarrhea, and nausea also. He does chewing tobacco daily, several times a day for over 20 years. Could there be some type of cancer here?
