I have had 4 sleep studies over past 10 years. I have severe sleep apnea and severe RLS. I have stopped taking reuip as it totally wipes me out the following day to the point that I am totally exhausted. The first sleep study I had in '99 when I was first diagnosed with severe apnea was followed up by a 2nd night in the sleep lab to find the optimum pressure for CPAP. Pressure was set at 13 and next morning I felt better than I had in years. I was so excited to have "found a cure" for my excessive daytime sleepiness and fatigue. However, once I had my own CPAP at home, I never got the same results. I had another study done in 2007 and pressure was set at 17 but have never experienced relief and feel the same the next day regarless of whether I use CPAP or not. For last few months, I have not used CPAP as its hard to be motivated to use it when I see no results. Anyone else had similar results?
