What happens when you need love and affection and closeness and your boyfriend's not there?

If its an ongoing issue you need to seriously consider a new BF.

Tell him, when your not there and i get any urges, even the need for love, or affection, make sure your mobile is close by, because i need to send you a text and get a reply, so i can breathe and smile again...

I think one should first consider about the reasons for not giving the time ,if you think that the reasons are fair enough to wait for some time then that is allright,but if he is just trying to avoid you by giving some fake reasons then it is time to think for your relation ,if you find he is really doing so then end up with the realtion that would be better option because waiting for such a person who never need you at all is stupid thing...

Well i guess when you say " when he's not there" one can assume my reply, or your reply AND have to therefore, agree with SinisterUrge.

If someone is not there for you now, then they won't be there for you later, sex is sex, you can get that elsewhere, affection and love is the height of what you need in a relationship, so yes. I agree.
