* Use condoms that carry a European CE mark or the BSI Kite mark
* Keep them in a cool place. Condoms will rip more easily if they have been in a hot area
* Check the condoms you are using are suitable for the sex you are having. For #%$@ sex, use the strongest condom available e.g. Durex ultra strong with plenty of water based lubricant.
* Check the use by date. Condoms don't last forever
* Use water based lubricant. Most condoms are already lubricated, though some people find extra lubrication makes sex more enjoyable and it will help prevent the condom from ripping. Lubricants should be water based such as KY jelly. Oil based ones such as massage oil, Vaseline and chocolate body paint will erode the condom and make it burst.
* Use a new condom each time
* Don't use two condoms together
* Buy condoms before going on holiday. This prevents problems with language and availability
