Default pimp your oatmeal

Banana Coconut Cream Oatmeal

1 cup 1% milk
1/4 cup coconut milk
1/2 cup steel cut oats
1/4 cup water
1 scoop vanilla whey
1/2 medium banana
pinch of shredded coconut

Put all the liquid except 1/4 cup water into a pot. Boil. Add oatmeal. Cook. Mix 1/4 cup water water with the whey and add it after the oatmeal is cooked. Add sliced banana and top with a pinch of shredded coconut. Mmmm..

That sounds really good.

It's almost half my calories for a day though, so I'll have to wait until my next bulk!

I just did the fat, calorie and protein math on it. The one scoop shake has 240 calories, 6grams of fat and 16 grams of protein. For the two scoop version, just factor in whatever you use for the second scoop (ie. additional muscle milk, hemp powder, whey, etc.) My values are just based on the way I do it. Let me know if you try it sometime. It's great! I just finished mine!

For the same amount of calories i'll just stick with 2 cups oatmeal and splenda:P

Here's my oatmeal this morning: oatmeal, FF plain yogurt, sliced banana, splenda, cinnamon - YUM!

The yogurt makes it nice and creamy will still retaining texture; can sub the bananas with fresh berries instead (or in addition to for that matter!). Sooooo good!

on my bulk, i would do a cup of oatmeal w/either half a box of raisins or half of a sliced banana.
since i'm cutting i'm doing 4oz of oatmeal w/6 raisins (and yes i actually count the 6 raisins).
the recipe looks/sounds tasty to me; but i make my oatmeal at my desk at work so i dont think i'd have the time or patience to make this at work.
i'd give it a whirl on my next bulk though.
btw, nice thread title 'Pimp your oatmeal'....thats a good one.

Yes, the original recipe has a touch too much fat and calories for, but I thought it sounded incredible and adjusted it a bit to meet my needs. Excellent recipe! Thanks.
