Default Blood donation advice

The nurses at work are hosting a RedCross blood drive next week. I have a saturation biopsy (Doc said there would be a minimum of 18 cores taken) scheduled for the second week in Nov. Information I have gleaned off the internet says that blood donations should be at least 56 days apart. I bled pretty bad (at least that's what it seemed like to me) after my last biopsy and it was only 12 needles. I can only imagine how I will be bleeding after this next one and I worrried that it might be too soon after a blood donation.

Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.
