Default Supra Pubic Prartial Prostatectomy and burning pain on urination post op

My youthful and otherwise healthy 65 year old husband had a supra pubic open abdominal partial prostatectomy 4 weeks ago. He is very distressed since he is still having urge incontinence and burning pain with every urination. His physcian prescribed more antibiotics in case it is a low grade UTI. He still was passing a lot of blood at 3 weeks post op. He had consideral blood loss during and after surgery which required transfusions. He had CBI (continuos bladder irrigations for 3 of the 4 days while hospitalized and came home with the catheter for a total of 7 days.
We have read on the forum about the incontinence issue taking time to overcome. It gives him hope seeing that others did improve and that he just needs to be patient and to do the Kigels, which by the way, Doc never advised but only said it will get better. We would appreciate hearing from anyone else that may have experienced the burning pain for so long and how it was addressed. We thank you for sharing.
