Default Weird Baby Names

is the novelty of a made up or otherwise odd name worth causing anxiety to your kid?

When I was growing up my name was fairly odd (Garrett). It seems to be quite popular among kids under five now, I'm not sure why it came into fashion.

Anyway, once your kids get used to correcting people's mispronounciations and spelling (Jarret? Derrick? Jared?) its not a big thing. As an adult I'd certainly rather be Garrett than just another John. (Although I'd have used the English phonetic spelling Gerrit).

PS: Pubert is a very bad name idea.
