Ok heres a quick recount of an event that has just occured to me.
Its not a pleasant tale, so Id advise you not be eating when reading this.
Current parents will no doubt smirk in nostalgia whilst reading this.
Future parents will do good to take heed of things to come.
Right, onto the tale.
A little background.
Luca's a cracking little kid. He's 5 weeks old and in a good routine. Typically he's in bed around 7pm, waking rarely but on occasion around 11pm/12am for a feed or straight through till 3/4 am.
Tonight was definately a 12am moment.
So up I go, sort the bottle out, take him out his cot, place him in my arms and I sit down.
Now when it comes to his exhausts he usually gives off a bit after he's just woken up...so he gets changed before I settle him down for a feed.
So picture the scene, he's cradled in my arms, lay across my legs.
Nothing unusual there.
He's feeding as normal, I pause for a bit, to sit him upright to bring up the touch of wind that he normally takes in.
So leaning forward in my hand, sat perfectly on my leg.
Then it happens.
