sneakstooth is on a distinguished road
Default Multitasking

So my oldest is 3 and my youngest is 1 month. I'm getting used to having the new baby around. Getting into a routine where I'm finally getting things done around the house and more than a couple hours of sleep at night and such. But I'm finding it hard dividing my time between my two children.

When I'm feeding the baby, my oldest wants me to play with him (but then when doesn't he? ) and when I'm trying to deal with my oldest, the baby is crying for food. The worst is the baby always cries right when I'm about to put the other to bed. I usually let the baby cry as I don't want to take away the time I have with my oldest. He barely gets any alone time with me now as it is, so this is our way to have special time together. Play in the bath together, read a story together and I love it. But I hate leaving the baby to cry.

I guess it gets easier as the baby needs less attention, but then I'm probably dealing with fights between the two. Sigh, the joys of motherhood.

I'm not sure if this is a request for help or just a rant, but feel free to comment.
