Default This isn't right

I've been looking for a job at lots of places aroung the area where I live. I went and asked for an application at the local Arby's. The person that was handing me the application asked me how old I was. I told her I was 20. She asked me if I ever had a job before. I told her that I worked last summer for 4 months at a factory doing assembly.(It was just a summer job, so even though I wanted to I couldn't have stayed there. That's the only work experience I have.) She laughed at me and took the application back, saying that they would never hire a 20 year old without any kind of real work experience. She shouldn't be able to do this, right?
