Default Upside / Downside Ratio

Upside / Downside Ratio
This is a ratio used mostly in the New York Stock Exchange. It takes the total number of shares traded with and increased price and divides it by the number of shares traded (volume) with a decreased price. If this number is 1, it means they are equal. If this number is greater than one, it means that there is more volume of shares increases rather than descreasing. If the number is less than one, then it means the market is considered bearish.
