I have posted on here about my husband and the ongoing problems with his depression............
He has now decided since friday to stop taking the medication!!!!!!!!!?????????

He takes 300mg of ventlaxine daily but has not taking any since thursday night.......His reasons for stopping them is that 9 months on his depression is as bad as it ever was and he feels that the meds do not work............I agree with this assumption but felt he should come off them with supervision.......... However he has lost all faith in the mental health team that we have and is going through a period of frustration and anger towards them and their apparent inability to treat his depression..(His words not mine although in part i do tend to agree with him)........

My question is .....why has my husband experienced NONE of the symptoms associated with Ventlafaxin withdrawal and bearing in mind the high dose i would have expected it......................... He has not taken any meds since 10pm thursday night and is having no after affects at all....
Is that why they havnt worked for him for his depression????????????
I am confused......... Any ideas???????
