Default I'm struggling

I was diagnosed with depression (for the 3rd time) last week. I was put on Citalopram. I had really bad side effects and an allergic reaction. My throat and tongue swelled up, it was night and I couldn't shout out for help. I thought I was going to die. It was really frightening.

Since then I've been struggling with stomach cramps, brought on by the Citalopram and am in quite a lot of pain.

Doctor wanted me to try another antidepressent but I've reacted also to prozac in the past (made me suicidal and I overdosed) and am terrified of trying anything else, so she suggested St John's Wort. Am waiting for a counselling appointment.
