Default Electroconvulsive therapy (ECT)

ECT is a controversial medical treatment for mental illness.

It involves passing an electric current through the brain, under anaesthesia, to produce a seizure similar to a fit, with the aim of relieving severe depression.

ECT can cause unwanted side effects in some people, including drowsiness, confusion, memory loss, headaches and nausea.

Any suggestions?
