Default Food Addiction

Forgive me for my stream-of-consciousness rambling, but maybe someone else can relate to this and maybe be helped by it...

I was just talking about this with my wife yesterday and I guess I never put it into words before....

I think my metabolism has become legendary around here; well my appetite used to be even greater. I eat close to 4000 cals to stay around 185 now, so can you imagine how much I used to eat when I was 227 and still probably gaining?

Some people think it's weird that I never cheat on my diet...never. I've been doing this for a year and I have not had one bite of food that I think is inconsistent with my plan.

I think I actually used to be addicted to things like pizza, fast food, mexican food etc. and eating that at all is just incompatible with my life now. Furthermore, a cheat meal is supposed to be in reason...what fun is that? If I were to have bacon, I wouldn't want 2 slices, I'd want a pound with 4 or 5 biscuits with gravy..I wouldn't want a couple slices of pizza, I'd want a whole large, or 14 tacos etc.

Right now I don't crave those things at all and I simply don't want them. On top of that if I did cheat just for convenience every now and then I'm afraid I'd lose control...Just like an alcoholic or drug addict. That just wouldn't be worth it especially for something I really don't want anyway.
