biking would def tone your thighs, and also by simply doing some lunges.

Hello, first of all, I'm not sure of the condition of your thighs. I will just give you some general guide lines. You definitely want to do cardio regularly. Cycling, elliptical, swimming, etc., are a few cardio methods to consider. You need to find something that you will do regularly. Preferably in the morning on an empty stomach will enable you to burn more fat when doing cardio. The exercises that you can perform for your thighs are lunges, leg press, Leg extensions, leg curls, and squats. Are your thighs the only place that you are holding fat? Are you on a regular workout program now? For how long have you been on a regularly program? Are you getting results every where else other than your thighs?

Your genetics plays a good part in your body makeup but you can improve on it if you work hard.

The best cardio exercise that has worked to tone my thighs and glutes by far is bicycling.
Pilates side kicks series is also a great way to tone the thighs, I actually avoid to many of these because they make my legs too lean and toned. But then I like to be a bit beefier.

Great advice Jen. Glad to have you here. What state do you train in?

Getting a "toned" look is done thorugh having a decent muscle mass base and losing the fat that is covering it. Don't be afraid of weight training. Squats, deadlifts, lunges are all excellent for the thighs and will help you to have a good muscle base. For losing the fat cardio is helpful, but a good diet is number one. Youc an exercise all you want but if your diet is not in order your results will be minimal.
