Some of the years most prominent titles, just recently released have been a major let down apparently.

Assassin's Creed - IGN's 7.7
Assassin's Creed - GameTrailers 9.1

Kane and Lynch: Dead Men - IGN's 7.0

I don't know about you guys, but those 2 titles were games I was looking forward to a lot this year. Both reviews claim the games are great, but then proceed to niggle about small things, and then expose a lot of what sound like game breaking exploits / bugs.

Normally, if I really like a game I will buy it anyways, but this un-nerves me. What went wrong?
