Johns is on a distinguished road
Default Calories and Cooking

I was cruising around on a fruit and veggie nutrition site and found something interesting.
Snow Pea pods uncooked 1 cup = 26 calories
Snow Pea pods cooked 1 cup = 68 calories!!

Thats a hug change to me! Does anyone know why cooking increases the caloric content... beside the additives to cook it like oil or something.

Does it have to do with the releasing of starch?
