Yes, there are two major types of Diabetes. They are, and these names will blow your mind... Type 1 and Type 2. :P

Type 1 (formally known as Juvenile Diabetes) is totally random, I believe. You do nothing to cause it, and (so far) you can do nothing to get rid of it. The Pancreas just... stops, haha. This is the one I have.

Type 2 is usually caused by a poor diet, being over-weight, genetics (darn Grandma and Grandpa!) and other health benefactors. Once a person gets whatever caused their type 2 diabetes under control, it does, in fact, go away most of the time.

Type 1 always needs injected insulin to control their diabetes. Type 2 does not. Most of the time, those with Type 2 can control their diabetes with oral medication, or just eating healthy.

I've have Type 1 diabetes since I was 9 years old (Wow, that's a whole 7 years ago...) and it's not THAT bad. But it's sad to think it won't ever just 'go away,' haha.

They have been saying they are working on a cure, but I wonder how expensive THAT will be? :P

Diabetes is a disease
Diabetes is a disease in which your blood glucose, or sugar, levels are too high. Glucose comes from the foods you eat. Insulin is a hormone that helps the glucose get into your cells to give them energy. With Type 1 diabetes, your body does not make insulin. With Type 2 diabetes, the more common type, your body does not make or use insulin well. Without enough insulin, the glucose stays in your blood.
Over time, having too much glucose in your blood can cause serious problems. It can damage your eyes, kidneys, and nerves. Diabetes can also cause heart disease, stroke and even the need to remove a limb. Pregnant women can also get diabetes, called gestational diabetes.
Symptoms of Type 2 diabetes may include fatigue, thirst, weight loss, blurred vision and frequent urination. Some people have no symptoms. A blood test can show if you have diabetes. Exercise, weight control and sticking to your meal plan can help control your diabetes. You should also monitor your glucose level and take medicine if prescribed. You can take your medicine through online pharmacy easily.
