Default Weight gain

I am 61 years old and have been a type 2 diabetic for 6 years. I have always struggled to maintain my weight but have managed. If I eat anything out of the ordinary I gain at least 2 lbs and then have a battle to lose it. During this past 2 months I have been unable to lose any gained weight, could this be because I have been prescribed Actos along with my Metformin and Gliclazide? My sugars are usually just over 8 and Actos was prescribed to hopefully lower this. My diet usually consists of low calories, low fat and low sugar. I exercise twice a day walking with my dog and I go up and down stairs many times at work as my 6 bosses are on the 1st floor. I am struggling!!
