Some experts say you should do cardio 6 days a week (or everyday if that keeps you in a good routine). Six days is for optimum fat burning.

30 min a day is good to start with. But as you progress you'll want to increase that time. You could try starting with 30 min and add 2 min each week. Do a double (60 min) 1 day a week.

Don't forget to add some kind of strength training. You don't even need weights. Start with pushup's, sit ups, lunges and squats. there are others too that don't require anything but your body.

What your portion sizes and stock your dorm room with healthy treats, fruits and nuts. If you have a frig even better.

Good luck. Join us by posting your daily/weekly exercise if you'd like. It's a great way to stay motivated!

I have also read, along with the cardio 6 days a week advice, that you hit a point of significant diminishing returns at about 60 mins a day. It's not necessarily bad for you, just that the added benefit of going longer is much smaller.

Samual, if you look anything like your icon pick, you have no worries with respect to weight.

I am doing something similar. But I am hoping to lose 100 pounds in a year. I do cardio about 5/6 days a week for an hour each session. I have noticed a dramatic change in for how hard I can push it and for how long. hope this helps

Surely..it should help. You are doing a perfect cardio. As I said in my previous post experts advice to do cardio atleast 6 days a week and min 30mins per day and you are going beyond this routine. Pickleboy2134, keep it up ! ! !
