Your baby's cuddly teddy bear and baby blanket may be dangerous, warns the journal Archives of Ophthalmology.

It seems that teddy bears and blankets made of synthetic fibers can release fiber particles that can get into your child's eyes, causing irritation and swelling. If you see eye irritation of the lower lid that's just on one side, there's a good chance that it's because of a teddy bear, cuddly blanket or fleece pull-over pajamas.

The hardest part of the treatment, of course, will be taking away the teddy bear.
