Default Hey,im new.. help

Ok,im 5'11 155lbs.so im thin but i have some extra on the gut and have been going to the gym for 6 months and was wondering what diet or guidlines i should have.What should i cut out,what should i bulk up on? I really dont know whats going to help me put on muscle.Suppliment suggestions would help to.thanks
